In the fall of
each year, thousands of people travel from near and far to
witness one of nature’s most stunning displays, the turning of
the fall foliage, resulting in a breathtaking panorama of color
along Skyline Drive and the
Blue Ridge Parkway in the
Shenandoah Valley.
Because of it's
idyllic location, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge
Mountains, civic minded groups and individuals in the
city of
Waynesboro sponsor the annual
Virginia Fall Foliage Festival programs and events to acquaint
visitors with our community.
Among the most
popular of the Festival attractions is the Virginia Fall Foliage
Festival Art Show, sponsored by the
Shenandoah Valley Art Center.
The show, now in its 37th
year, is held outdoors on the historic streets of downtown
Waynesboro, a Virginia Main Street community. This annual
juried fine art and fine craft show is recognized as one of the
premiere shows on the East Coast, drawing artists from 14 states and
Canada. We invite you to a weekend of bustling creativity with
approximately 200 artists booths brimming with paintings,
photography, sculpture, pottery, metalwork, glasswork, jewelry
and other media.
Proceeds from
space rental defray show expenses and benefit art scholarships.
No commission is required from artists. No admission fee.
Food concessions, music, and free parking available.
Wheelchair accessible. Approximate weekend attendance 20,000. * No pets please.*
